PPP: Political Pariah Party of BN

With the current leadership crisis brewing in the PPP, it is fast becoming the political pariah of BN. Been led by a power-crazed, shoot from the hip President, M. Kayveas, PPP will soon diminished itself into oblivion. Boasting a membership roll of more than 300,000 supporters PPP is the smaller compared to MIC. In the last GE, even the President lost the seat contested. None of PPP candidates managed to win any the seats they contested. Kayveas had recently denied calling the MIC "monkeys in a cage". His relationship with Samy Vellu seems to getting better recently. They used to be at each other's throat before, belittling each others' in championing the aspirations and struggle of the Indian community. However with the emergence of the illegal organization Hindraf, both Samy and Kayveas dubiously threw their supports behind the Hindraf movement.

Kayveas acted out of fear losing his grip on the PPP's presidency has sacked T. Murugiah his own protege from the party with six others. Murugiah was accused of practicing money politics in the upcoming party polls. However Murugiah had claimed the accusations as baseless and challenged Kayveas for the presidency.

PPP supposedly is a multiracial party with only 48% of its' members are Indians.

This cannot be the right way to look at things as, whatever the case, the process of the law is crucial.-Malik Imtiaz Sarwar
