Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi delivered most of what he had promised — during the twilight of his premiership. Time will tell if Abdullah’s achievements will truly become legacies that Malaysians will be proud of.
Whatever the success of these initiatives, Pak Lah left behind a society with more space and freedom for democratic discourse.
